How to rid of tiny bugs around my kitchen sink?

They are not fleas, but they very tiny and hop. I was told that they could be springtails, but I’m not sure.

They sound like Springtails, and they must be coming in for the water. Everything I came across says that they occasionally bite, but are basically harmless.

I found this site, that shows photo’s …. so maybe it will help.

    I hope this helps.

    buy some bug spray

If they look like this – "…tiny wingless insects with distinctive heads and a hump-backed appearance. Their name comes from a forked structure attached to the underside of the abdomen which acts a spring to flip them into the air. This behavior gives them the appearance of tiny fleas.", then that might be the case. They are usually found in wet areas; they can’t survive in dry conditions. You can use these products to get rid of those pests – Tempo Ultra SC ($44.95), and Tempo Ultra WP ($65.00).

Go to the dollar store and get some boric acid powder.
